Autorenporträt
Eric Jorink (PhD 2004, University of Groningen) is a researcher at the Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands (Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences). He is the author of Reading the Book of Nature in the Dutch Golden Age, 1575-1715 (Brill 2010). With Dirk van Miert he is a chief editor of Lias. Journal of Early Modern Intellectual Culture and its Sources. Dirk van Miert (PhD 2004, University of Amsterdam) is a research fellow at the Huygens Institute for the History of the Netherlands. He is the author of Humanism in an Age of Science: The Amsterdam Athenaeum in the Golden Age, 1632-1704. He has published books on Hadrianus Junius and has edited, with Paul Botley, The correspondence of Joseph Scaliger (Droz 2012).
