Autorenporträt
Petra M. Sijpesteijn (PhD, Princeton, 2004) is Professor of Arabic at Leiden University, leading the ERC project "Embedding Conquest: Naturalising Muslim Rule in the Early Islamic Empire" and author of Shaping a Muslim State: The World of a Mid-Eighth-Century Egyptian Official (OUP, 2013). Camilla Adang, (PhD, Nijmegen, 1993) is Professor of Islamic Studies at Tel Aviv University. She has published widely on the works of Ibn Ḥazm of Cordoba and encounters between Muslims and Jews in the Middle Ages and the Ottoman period.
