Luce López-Baralt, Ph.D. Harvard University (1974) is Professor of Spanish and Comparative Literatures, University of Puerto Rico. Her publications include: San Juan de la Cruz y el Islam (1985), Huellas del Islam en la literatura española. De Juan Ruiz a Juan Goytisolo (1985), Un 'Kāma Sūtra espanol. El primer tratado erótico de nuestra lengua (ms. S-2 BRAH Madrid ), and as editor: Sadilies y alumbrados, Miguel Asín Palacios (1990), and Obra completa de San Juan de la Cruz (1991).
