En la actualidad, es profesor emérito de la Autoridad Egipcia de la Energía Atómica y ex decano del Instituto Superior de Ingeniería y ex profesor de la Facultad de Hidrología Ambiental de la Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UET) de Taxila (Pakistán), y ex asesor en recursos hídricos del Observatorio del Sáhara y el Sahel (OSS) de Túnez (2006-2009).
