Foreign policy is a very important concept in the study and practice of international politics that cannot be sketched out when discussing the elements and components of world politics. As it is true that no nation of the world can live in isolation, there is a need for nation-states to relate with one another in the international system. Thus, these relations could be bilateral or multilateral. The point is that, there must be an existing relationship between or among nations for foreign policy to be possible. The relationship could be positive or negative; it depends on the countries national interest.
