Kazakhstan's gaining independence posed many issues of socio-political development for the state and society. The passing into oblivion of communist ideology and the atheistic policy that was being pursued led to an ideological and spiritual vacuum. In the new reality, the historical role in the modernization of public consciousness to a certain extent was assigned to religious organizations, and above all to Islam. However, the non-linearity of the development of political processes, socio-cultural and historical features of Kazakh society, globalization processes determined a whole "mosaic" in the manifestations of Islamic religion in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
