Issues of the Heart is a collection of short essays with scriptural insights to relate to everyday life, and are primarily from my own life experiences. Do you like to fish? Many times life is like fishing, and two of the stories speak to this. Ever gone out of your comfort zone? Encounter a message or "messenger" that you perceived was from God? What kind of "soil" were you planted in? Ever been asked to preside over the funeral for someone dear to you? These stories may make you smile, laugh, reflect, and even cry a little. Perhaps they can be applied to your own life, finding a common experience to your challenges and trials, and become an encouragement to you. See the author's heart as he experiences unexpected brain surgery, marrying off three daughters, and a painful death in his family, sharing life analogies in a transparent way. Sam Siligato was born and raised in Southern New Jersey and resides there with his wife Sherry of thirty-seven years. He is active in his church, Fairton Christian Center, over forty years where he enjoys teaching adult Sunday school. Sam has a teaching degree in high school math and science, and has been a licensed real estate agent over thirty years. Sam enjoys catching amazing sunsets at Fortescue, a nearby fishing town, and relaxing on his back porch overlooking the fish pond, a place to read and write, and spending time with family. Fishing provided many memories with friends and family. Seeing his grandchildren catch their first fish has been immeasurable joy. Sam previously published a real estate investment book, So You Want To Be A Landlord. He was a finalist in the Amy Writing Awards, and published in The Upper Room, War Cry, Live, Seek and The Lampstand.
