Holly is excited by the prospect of buying her first home, and the fact her Uncle Gil is the contractor means she can keep a close eye on the progress with daily visits to her future neighborhood, Grayson Village, if she is so inclined. Once she meets Ryker Drummond, the subcontractor, she decides she is extremely inclined. Ryker is gorgeous, has a great sense of humor, and knows his way around a construction site. Then Holly hears from one of the crew that Ryker has a girlfriend, which means he can't ever be anything other than a friend to Holly. Ryker relocates from another state for the chance to build Grayson Village, and to put some distance between him and a recent breakup, which has left him with injured pride to the extent that he hasn't shared the fact with anyone, even his best friend. Once he meets Holly Lovell and begins to spend time at the job site with her during her frequent visits, he realizes it's time to leave the past where it belongs. Unfortunately, he may have waited too long, since he learns she has started dating another crew member. It will take faith, hope, and honesty for them to realize, despite the obstacles that seem to be keeping them apart, they are meant for each other.
