The influence of culture and social-political aspects of project management over the last decades has turned to one of the censorious areas of focus for researchers and project managers in present-day time. The implementation of Project Management techniques and tools in private and public sector is turning to a vital issue in developing countries, predominantly in a multi-cultural society like Nigeria where projects of different structure and magnitude are managed. This book identifies the effect of culture on project management, the general reasons why projects fail in West African countries and how to mitigate the risk based on this effect in a multicultural society like Nigeria. The study is based on the fact that cultural differences play a leading role in project management techniques, effective implementation and execution of projects. The research inquired into Nigeria organizational environments, political and economic conditions, project management effort and strategies. The discovery of this research revealed a connection between culture and project failure in Nigeria and possible solutions to overcome the causes of project failures in Nigeria.
