More than just a Book; A Major Cultural Event! It Was Only a Movie propels you on a roller-coaster ride to secret sites, long suppressed from public view, culled from the highly classified dossiers of Eastern Townships (Québec, Canada) lore. This volume tracks the adventures of Eastern Townshippers from the humble farmer to some of the region's most celebrated progeny. SEE the glory of wild floral profusion along the rail trails of Heaven's foyer! HEAR the screams of a grown man about to be driven into a deep lake by his very own daughter! TOUCH the rotting bricks of cheddar cheese brought to battlefields as weaponry by guerrillas struggling to liberate lowly punctuation marks from unjust incarceration! SMELL the rustic musk of bovine biscuits and marijuana farming, where weed is cultivated and bovines are shipped abroad for the cruel sport of cow-fighting! All this and so much more is only a page turn away! Although this book trains its sights on a regional Canadian microcosm, it will appeal to readers everywhere who long, at last, for a good old-fashioned hoot. It's okay. You Can Open Your Eyes Again!
