ROY HERBERT JARRETT (RHJ) (1874-1937) was a self-educated, successful Chicago salesman for a printing firm. After years of using inspirational business messages and studying the psychology of positive affirmation, Jarrett wrote the short book It Works (1926). The widely popular book led to Jarrett's notoriety and early retirement before his death at age 63.
