Autorenporträt
Ana Gersak works for the Slovenian publishing house Goga, where she is an editor and translator. Drago Jancar is the best-known Slovenian writer, playwright, and essayist both at home and abroad, and one of the most translated Slovenian authors. He worked as a journalist, freelance writer, and movie script editor and writer. During his long career, he received multiple awards and nominations, at home and abroad. He was awarded the Kresnik Award four times (1999, 2001, 2011, 2018), the Preseren Foundation Award (1979), and the Preseren Award for his opus in 1993. Jancar's novels, essays, and short stories have been translated into twenty-one languages. Sebastijan Pregelj was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1970 and studied history at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana. He has published six novels, including Kronika pozabljanja (A Chronicle of Forgetting, 2014), which was longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award, and V Elvisovi sobi(In Elvis's Room, 2019), which won the Cankar Award and was shortlisted for the Kresnik Award for Best Slovene Novel. He also writes books for children. Pregelj lives and works in Ljubljana and is a member of the Slovene Writers' Association.
