Cheri (not Cherry) has everything going for her... an over-protective mother who only wants the best for her socially awkward daughter, an overly needy boyfriend who is more stalker than lover, and a dream job in the basement of some college library... wait, she actually likes the job. Life for her is... mediocre?... meh, until a professor named Algernon and a strange deck of tarot cards enter her life, and then the fabric of the universe changes forever. Well, not really; she just has fun, for once in her life. Come, join in her romp. Librarians are sexy, whether male or female... it's something about intelligence being hot. It's In the Cards is the first of several stories of Lusty Librarians and their adventures. We wrote this originally about ten years ago after we finished what became Shards of Light and we wanted to write a fluffy romance tale. Mostly because we wanted to prove we could. This wouldn't be a stretch for two writers who managed to tell a strange story about mythical blood-drinking races. The two writers could see talented romance authors put together manuscripts quickly. If they can do this, why can't we, thought the two writers. Ha, ha, the fools mused, we can do that! No problem! The writing gods, in their infinite wisdom decided to show just how hard it can be to step outside one's comfort zone. About a year later, we had finished a second draft and then real life started to throw curve balls. Layoffs occurred at jobs. Work began to involve three to four hours of a commute. Friends, family, and beloved pets passed on. The two writers, older and wiser (or so they thought) decided it was time to publish a novella that was originally supposed to be part of an anthology that we still hope will come together.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Chris Dunbar was born in Greenport, Long Island, New York and then moved to Texas as soon as he could, at least that is the story he tells to native Texans, such as his wife. Chris keeps searching for ways to leave Houston, like moving to Auburn, Alabama, Dallas, and even San Antonio, but Houston just keeps reeling him back. Chris' day job is performing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, but his night job is coming up with creative ways to wound and maim the characters he and his wife Heather created. For fun, Chris enjoys the occasional novel and video game, but he also likes to delve into his Scottish ancestry and tool leather. When he can find the time, Chris pretends to play the Bodhran and the didgeridoo, much to the chagrin of his cats, Clyde, Brigid, and Lily, not to mention his wife Heather. Chris is also an avid wearer of the kilt.
