Born in Arkansas on a cotton farm, grew up and spent most of her life on Virginia's east coast, and now by way of Florida-Barbara lives in southern California. Barbara's journey may not be new, but her way of telling it is. This is Barbara's first book. It's about struggle and faith and inspiration told in a unique way only she can express. She inspires us to keep a dream alive as she did for thirty years. Her passion for helping people, love for humanity and cooking, portrayed in a quirky, at times humorous, way is delightful to read. Barbara writes, "I am no stranger to pain, suffering and loss. I have dealt with cancer since I was 24 years old," when her husband was diagnosed. And she inspires us with self-love in her poem I Found Me. "Love yourself as I love you," God said to me. "When you accomplish this, the rest is easy."
