Autorenporträt
Dr Raphael Kuhn was Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Melbourne, and later Head of the Gynaecology Department at both The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Royal Women's Hospital. He spent more than 15 years as a consultant at Melbourne IVF and four years as Chairman of Melbourne IVF Human Research and Ethics Committee. In 2015, he created Infertility Second Opinion to provide independent opinions to patients who had not experienced IVF success. The cases he saw during the past several years prompted him to write this book. Raphael is also a member of the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA), European Society of Human reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). On a more personal note, his empathy for the issues addressed in this book stem from personal family experiences on the emotional roller coaster associated with IVF treatment.
