Oh no! Ivy spilled her milk! Fortunately, she has a good solution: Step 1) Cry; Step 2) Cry more; Step 3) Keep crying until Mom cleans the floor. In this humorous and heartwarming rhyming book, Ivy's solutions to her problems are far from the best, but thankfully her loving and patient mom is there to guide her and offer good solutions. Will Ivy learn from her mother and will she be able to figure out the best solution of all? Makes a great gift for ages 3, 4, 5, & 6 and grades K to 2. The Story Behind the Book: Mr. Sun learned late in life that he should let go of the past, to "keep moving forward" (from the movie Meet the Robinsons) and to find solutions rather than do nothing. Mr. Sun wanted to pass this wisdom to his 2 sons and came up with Ivy. He used a popular idiom along with the words "good solution" to help. While writing the part about Ivy's dirty hands, Nathan thought it was funny and silly. Later, Mr. Sun saw him wiping his mouth with his sleeve. The expression in Nathan's face was priceless. He said he didn't even know he was doing it. Mr. Sun used the opportunity to talk about being unaware of problems that are right in front of our faces (or on our faces) and reacting with a bad solution without knowing it.

Autorenporträt
Mr. Sun's full name is Alexander Sun. He is a first generation Chinese American and was born in California. Growing up, he loved reading books that had something to teach and loved playing video games that didn't teach anything. When he "grew up", he worked at video game company, Blizzard Entertainment, for 11 years. After having his sons Nathan and Ryan, he switched careers to spend more time with them. During the pandemic, he was furloughed and started writing books with life lessons. He enjoys reading those books to his kids as well as playing UNO, building things with Legos and jumping on trampolines.
