Ivy's imagination is in trouble! Her popsicle dragon flies her to a wintery rainbow candy wonderland, but there's only one problem. It was just a dream! Mom tells Ivy she can go back any time by closing her eyes, but Ivy wants to go there with her eyes open! How can Mom help Ivy get her imagination back? Find out in this wondrous read-aloud rhyming book. Makes a great gift for ages 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 and grades K to 2. The Story Behind This Book: Mr. Sun wanted to foster his children's creativity so he asked them to make a list of random things that they liked. From the list, Mr. Sun came up with ideas, keeping the ones Nathan and Ryan found exciting and created the world in Ivy's dream. Just like Ivy's mom, Mr. Sun hopes that he, Nathan and Ryan can help each other keep their imaginations from growing old, just like Mr. Sun's spirit and maturity level. About Mr. Sun: Mr. Sun's full name is Alexander Sun. When he was a kid, he lived in California in a house that had a convenient store up the hill where he would buy a whole lot of candy. His favorites were Alexander the Grape, Jolly Ranchers and Luden's Cherry Cough Drops. He had a lot of cavities. His other good habits were watching 80's cartoons and playing Nintendo. When he grew up, he worked at a game company called Blizzard Entertainment for 11 years. After having his 2 sons, he switched careers so he could spend more time with them. His kids love candy too and their favorite holiday is Halloween, although Ryan doesn't like wearing a costume or having to go out in order to get candy. Mr. Sun doesn't want them to eat as much sweets as he did so he makes sure they don't by eating a lot of their candy. He's also very thoughtful and lets his kids play with his Legos whenever they want.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Alexander Sun is an indie children's book author writing as Mr. Sun. He was born and raised near San Francisco and later moved near LA to work at a game company, Blizzard Entertainment. He was there for 11 years and loved his job but after having his first child Nathan, Alexander switched careers to have a better work-life balance, salary and career growth opportunities. He was employed at Marriott as a UX designer when the pandemic hit and was furloughed which freed up a lot of his time. His second son Ryan was also born around this time and at night while trying to get Ryan to sleep, Mr. Sun would think about ideas for children's books. Later, he found a job designing government software but continued writing because he and his children enjoyed the books so much. He loves sharing his creative passion by involving his kids in the story creating process and also by playing Legos with them. In his books, Alexander uses the pen name Mr. Sun to be more accessible to children. Just like with teachers, parents can think of him by his first name Alexander while children can by his last. In everyday life, Alexander goes by Alex, but it's easier for people to find him on the Internet if he goes by Alexander for his books. In real life, he doesn't refer to himself in the third person like he's doing in this About section and instead talks more like a normal person. He hopes that by reading his books with your children, your parent-child bonds will be strengthened and that it will promote your children's passion for reading. He also hopes they'll help you get your children go to bed so you can enjoy the rest of your evening in peace. Mr. Sun thanks you for your support and hopes to be able to write more children's books in the years to come.
