Izzy has just turned five years old. It will soon be time to start school. She had a really wonderful birthday party with her friends. Now, Mum and Dad have brought home a baby brother. Izzy likes her new brother, but she is bored playing on her own. She decides to take her cat, Pudding, for a walk in the new pram, but she has forgotten the rule about being safe. Linda Brooks lives in Adelaide. She writes nonfiction, poetry, fiction and short stories. She has published and illustrated children's books. She has a BA Hons in Creative Writing from Southern Cross University. She gained a publisher for her childhood memoir A Curious & Inelegant Childhood. She has written a nonfiction book on living with Asperger's Syndrome I'm not broken, I'm just different and the children's book Callan the Chameleon with contributions from Professor Tony Attwood. A registered nurse and advocate for disability in a previous life, Linda has a rich background in listening to the stories of others, never shying away from the darker, gritty tales. And yet, humour is never far away
