Jim Kirker, a long time student of Irish history and folklore, for many years has created the suspenseful and inspirational adventures, told in two worlds... one magical the other real... of the leprechaun Shamus O'Malley. His acclaimed books include The Adventures of Shamus O'Malley, First Prize is Nothing- suspenseful details of the actual events of a 1970 Cold War U.S. ballistic submarine incident in the Mediterranean Sea resulting in a "de facto" court martial in Groton, Ct. and Izzy and The Three Kings - a camels mystical journey with the Three Kings, two thousand years ago, the days and nights before the first Christmas. A Connecticut native, Jim graduated from St. Bonaventure University and the Notre Dame Law School. Presently, he is a retired civil trial attorney living with his family in Misquamicut, Rhode Island.
