Autorenporträt
J.M. Coetzee (Cape Town, 1940) is a novelist, essayist and writer of short stories. He twice received the Booker Prize for his novels Life & Times of Michael K and Disgrace. In 2003 he received the Nobel Prize for his entire body of works. Humo proclaimed Coetzee "the Biggest Writer of All Time". Coetzee reinforced his status as one of the most important contemporary writers with his most recent novels The Childhood of Jesus (2013) and The Schooldays of Jesus (2016).
