The Jackson Union Station is a train station in Jackson, Mississippi, United States, served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. It was originally built in 1927 by the Illinois Central Railroad and restored between 2002 and 2004. The station lies west of another station built the same year in Jackson that served the New Orleans and Great Northern and Mobile and Ohio Railroads, and is listed as a Mississippi Landmark. Of the 10 Mississippi stations served by Amtrak, Jackson was the busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 140 passengers daily.
