La'Wana is committed to igniting the imagination of the next generation of train enthusiasts. La'Wana has also done missionary work in Haiti. She has conducted numerous mission trips there, focusing on providing mobile medical clinics, building orphanages, children's ministry, evangelism and public health education. Her mission work is also demonstrated domestically through community revitalization and social justice projects. But above all, La'Wana feels that her greatest accomplishments are being married to her high school sweetheart for 26 years, raising three healthy children, spoiling an adorable grandson, and accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her faith and family shape the essence of her being.
