Each story is based on sound biblical principles with supporting application tools. La'Wana is committed to protecting the innocence, imagination, and integrity of the next generation. She recently launched her latest book series, America by Train, which combines her love for America and her fascination with trains. Her books capture the history and beauty found only by traveling America by train. Each story is complemented with activities to help readers create their own adventure. La'Wana is committed to igniting the imagination of the next generation of train enthusiasts. La'Wana has also done missionary work in Haiti. She has conducted numerous mission trips there, focusing on providing mobile medical clinics, building orphanages, children's ministry, evangelism and public health education. Her mission work is also demonstrated domestically through community revitalization and social justice projects. But above all, La'Wana feels that her greatest accomplishments are being married to her high school sweetheart for 26 years, raising three healthy children, spoiling an adorable grandson, and accepting Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her faith and family shape the essence of her being.
