Betrayal. Pirates. Robot Battles. Chihuahua. In 2962, Alexa Jane Alden has been marking time until she can return to her real life-a thousand years ago. Her vigil ends abruptly, however, when she's informed about events in that far back time. But really, what's a little deception among friends? Particularly when compared with the demand that she comply with the mandate of rogue artificial intelligence KAG8. If Alexa forsakes the Master SivSatyananda-and thus the Crystal Ceres-for KAG8, she scuttles a project centuries in the making, and dooms humanity. If she doesn't? Her loved ones pay dearly. The answer: destroy KAG8, no matter the consequences. Filled with metaphysical secrets, ruthless space raiders, and a robotic Chihuahua she calls Bill, Jaguar Transit is a SciFi adventure that's all about doing the right thing, regardless of cost.

Autorenporträt
Laure Reminick loves reading and writing science fiction. The only science she officially studied, however, was while obtaining degrees in Finance and in International Business. One course was Chemistry for Business Majors (i.e. for Dummies); the others were Astronomy, including one as presented in science fiction novels. Now, she's grateful for the science sources available everywhere digitally. Besides enjoying fifteen years as a New York City financial journalist and editor, she has worked as an amusement park ride operator, a stained glass artist, a pizza deliverer, draftsman and paste-up artist (BC, before computers), at a private post office, as an assistant at a Texas land-development company, a phone center caller, and teacher of most things she knows how to do. Despite all those years of reporting just the facts, she now utterly enjoys making things up. Her Brooklyn-bred husband and their aging princess Pomeranian-named Penelope-happily live on the prairie in Fairfield, Iowa. Laure is also always on the lookout for real magic: knowing what's about to happen, changing a trend from inevitable to a choice, feeling bliss from nothing. Having been a teacher of Transcendental Meditation for a good long time, Laure has come to deeply appreciate the magic of silence-as well, those quirky thoughts that inevitably come up during meditation.
