About the Author

Lynn Kupkee is a freelance writer living in Miami, Florida. Originally from New Jersey, she earned her degree from the University of Miami. She has an extensive background in early childhood education, and taught music and movement-based learning.

While her love of music and teaching continues, Lynn has always been passionate about working with animals. She is currently the practice manager at Sabal Chase Animal Clinic, shere her husband, Ian is the lead practitioner. One of their many goals is to educate their community on ways to reduce the number of pets being surrendered to animal shelters. They have been active in low-cost spay/neuter programs in Central America, and are involved in local efforts to preserve Miami's globally imperilled pine rockland forests.

Jack and The Gentle Dog is her first illustrated storybook.

About the illustrator:

Holly Elizabeth Watkins is finishing her final year of high school in Leeds, County Yorkshire, England. She currently lives with her mother, elder brother, and dog, Jasper. When she is not drawing or studying, Holly plays the trombone in a brass band. Jake And The Gentil Dog is her first illustrated storybook.
