Ashequka Lacey is a native of Columbus, OH. She has two young sons Ameir and Jakobi. She has always loved reading and writing as a hobby. After having Jakobi who was born with a lethal form of Dwarfism her life changed as well as Ameir's. She never expected to write a children's book. However,one day while at the hospital with Jakobi she seen how engaged he was as a volunteer read to him and that sparked her vision. She decided she would write a story about the most important people in her life and that was her boys. She wanted to bring awareness to the form of dwarfism that Jakobi has and at time educate not only children but adults as well on a diagnosis that is so rare.
