Autorenporträt
Elayne Russell Palmer is a retired teacher, living in Abilene, Texas, with her husband, Phil, and dog, Finn. She lives near her grown children and grandchildren and loves thehappy chaos that occurs when they are all together. She has had the opportunity to live in the Middle Eastern country of Palestine, the island of Cyprus, and she has traveled to Nigeria and the Dominican Republic. Meeting the children in all these contexts, she has been encouraged by their strength and resilience. "Jameel's Plan" was written for children ages seven to twelve and is based on the author's belief that the desire to learn is innate in every child.
