JAMES HOGGARD, of Wichita Falls, Texas, is a poet, novelist, playwright, essayist, short story writer, and translator. His writing has won numerous awards including a National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowship and the Short Story Award from TIL. He was an English professor at Midwestern State University from 1966-2013.
