Through the tear-filled eyes of a child devastated by loss, we are vulnerably taught about grief. From lived experience, Kathleen gently weaves into each chapter practical ideas to navigate grief with faith and hope. Jar of Tears equips children to understand their own loss and gain confidence to support a grieving friend. And it's a necessary read for every adult, too. (Shirley Thiessen, Author of The Little Black Funeral Dress and Creator of Cornerbend Ministries)

Autorenporträt
Losing her mother at a young age, Kathleen Templeton learned some things about grief, but not everything. She spent 30 years wondering why she could not move on. It wasn't until a dear friend, a Christian counsellor, shared some truths about grief that Kathleen learned she couldn't avoid it. In her first book, a middle-grade novel called Jar of Tears, Kathleen shares what she's learned about grief, grieving, and faith. Kathleen lives with her husband and daughters in Calgary, Alberta. She holds a BA from the University of Alberta, a BEd from Concordia University College of Alberta, and a Creative Writing Certificate from the University of Calgary. When she's not writing or reading, she can be found boring her family with genealogical facts about her family tree, wearing plaid. You can find her at kathleentempleton.com.
