Autorenporträt
Alex Gulino, author of Empire State of Decay: Discarded New York and Garden State of Decay: Discarded New Jersey, has been documenting her adventures since 2017. Her love of photography began in her teens when her father purchased her first camera and was later solidified when Alex won her first photography contest for a local newspaper. While in college, Alex considered majoring in photography--alas, theater arts won out. While she put photography on hold to pursue an acting career, she never forgot her first love. After traveling the U.S. more often, Alex noticed many amazing sights that just needed to be photographed. Her first love was reignited, and photography was once again a significant part of her life. Today, Alex travels as often as she can and participates in various art shows throughout the NJ and NY area. To see more of Alex's work, visit www.alexgulino.com or see her on Instagram @starletlexy.
