As a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience specializing in offering quality social work services through counseling, advocacy, case management, and consulting, Mackaria knows the value of having access to quality therapeutic materials. In private practice and as a former school social worker, she experienced difficulties obtaining books that thoroughly addressed coping skills in a comprehensive manner through inclusive storytelling. It is from this deficit, the idea of Jhori's Journey was materialized.
