James (Jim) Kerr (born 17 January 1958) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a midfielder. Kerr began his professional career with Dundee United but made just two senior appearances before moving on to Airdrieonians in 1981. Raith Rovers was Kerr's next stop after a handful of appearances for Airdrie and he went on to play over seventy league games for Rovers, moving to Brechin City in 1984. Kerr made a similar number of appearances for City before moving to Falkirk in 1986, where he made just under fifty appearances. A short spell with Hamilton Academical preceded eighteen months with Partick Thistle, before Kerr began the 1990s with Stirling Albion.
