Nathalie Quintane was born in Paris in 1964 and is the author of nineteen books of poetry and lyrical prose. Formally, she writes within a lineage of metapoetic writers, such as Isadore Ducasse and Francis Ponge. Quintane is considered one of the major experimental poets of her generation. Cynthia Hogue (co-translator) has published thirteen books, most recently Revenance. With Sylvain Gallais, Hogue co-translated Fortino Sámano (The overflowing of the poem), by Virginie Lalucq and philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy, which won the Harold Morton Landon Translation Award. She directs the MFA program in English at Arizona State University. Sylvain Gallais (co-translator) is a French economist whose most recent works are France Encounters Globalization, and an essay entitled "Preserving Biodiversity in the European Union.” He is Professor of French at Arizona State University.
