Autorenporträt
With a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, in 2000 Africa Fanlo joined the publishing world and began a long career as an illustrator of children's books, with more than 30 titles published. In 2004 she was distinguished with the Junceda Prize, awarded by the APIC, for the book Els colors del metall, published by the Auditori de Barcelona. For 10 years she has been teaching at the Escola de Artes y Oficios Massana in Barcelona. She has also taught several workshops, such as Big Draw 2012, promoted by the Picasso Museum of Barcelona, Difumina 2012 or the Festa del Grafisme de Portbou, Humanist and cultural manager, she has worked for ten years at the Fundació Joan Brossa and currently works at the Fundació Antoni Tàpies. Throughout her career she has collaborated with different museum institutions developing museographic projects, curatorial projects, educational proposals, creative campaigns in social networks and publications. She has published two children's books: El lápiz mágico de Joan Brossa, in La Galera (2017), and Atrapo una letra y pongo al mundo del revés, in Vegueta Ediciones (2019). She has also curated the editions: Petits Poemes.
