S. Malathi est actuellement professeur associé d'éducation au Centre d'enseignement à distance et en ligne (CDOE), Université Alagappa, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, Inde. Elle est titulaire d'une licence en sciences et en éducation (RIE, Mysore), d'une maîtrise en sociologie, d'une maîtrise et d'un doctorat en anglais, d'une maîtrise et d'un doctorat en éducation et d'un diplôme en hindi.
