Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi plays an active and influential role in the field of pedagogy in the period of the late Enlightenment. According to him, the salvation of man lies in his perfect education. Regardless of their socio-cultural and economic situation, all members of a society should have the same opportunities for a good education. Pestalozzi's form of education aims at the independence of the children. He also reflects this attitude towards education in his literary writings. At this point his works Lienhard and Gertrud and Wie Gertrud ihre Kinder lehrt (How Gertrud teaches her children ) have to be mentioned absolutely, because they not only have an imagination in that sense, but they also extend Pestalozzi's sphere of influence strongly. So this book aims at a celebration and presentation of Pestalozzi's child education by means of the two works mentioned.

Seval PARLAKGÜNE¿ ERDO¿AN, nacido en 1983 en Hatay, estudió alemán en la Universidad de Çukurova. Completó su máster (2014) y su doctorado (2022) en la Universidad Necmettin Erbakan. En la misma universidad trabaja como ayudante de investigación. Sus áreas de investigación son la literatura alemana y la didáctica de la literatura.
