Autorenporträt
Morine Krissdottir was born in Canada of Icelandic descent. Trained both in English literature and psychology, her special interest is the relationship of myth and creativity. Her interest in John Cowper Powys is long-standing and fruitful. As author, in addition to John Cowper Powys and the Magical Quest (reissued by Faber Finds), there is the definitive biography, Descents of Memory: The Life of John Cowper Powys: as co-editor the first complete edition of Porius; and as editor Petruska and the Dancer: The Diaries of John Cowper Powys, 1929-1939 and The Dorset Year: The Diary of John Cowper Powys, June 1934-July 1935. Morine Krissdottir is also the curator of two important literary collections at the Dorset Count Museum, the Powys Collection and the Sylvia Townsend Warner/Valentine Ackland Collection.
