John Wylie Grant (born 1891) was an English professional footballer who played as a centre forward throughout Europe in the early part of the twentieth century.Born in London, Grant played in Ireland for Cliftonville, in Sweden, in England for Southport Central and Woolwich Arsenal, and in Italy for Genoa. At Arsenal, Grant scored 3 goals in 4 games in the Football League. Cliftonville Football & Athletic Club (the Reds) is a semi-professional, Northern Irish football club playing in the IFA Premiership. Founded on 20 September 1879 by John McCredy McAlery in the suburb of Cliftonville in north Belfast, it is the oldest football club in Ireland and celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2009. Since 1890, the club has played at Solitude.
