God delights to save sinners from all walks of life. Throughout Scripture, the Lord sets his divine sights on sinners for His saving purposes, and he never fails to hit his target. But sometimes, as in the book of Jonah, God's saving acts are so merciful that they can shock our sensibilities. God's love toward saint and sinner alike may baffle the reader, just as it did Jonah. This brief and engaging study provides brief comments and background information to help the reader grasp the meaning of the book of Jonah. Complete with a suggested reading plan to help the reader engage fully with God through immersion in Scripture, Bierig's guide is useful for individuals and groups who want to encounter the mercy of God that, at first sight, just might seem scandalous.
