The brothers appear as three members of the fictional band JONAS who try to live a normal life in the face of stardom. The first preview of Jonas was aired on Disney Channel on December 23, 2008, during Disney Channel's Totally New Year. The series premiered on Disney Channel on May 2, 2009, and became available on demand starting April 25, 2009. On November 9, 2009, it was announced that Jonas was picked up for a second season. The series will re-enter production in February 2010 and is expected for a premiere on Disney Channel sometime in Summer 2010. Jonas is the first Disney Channel Original Series (DCOS) since Phil of the Future not to be filmed before a live studio audience or to have a laugh track.
