Autorenporträt
Born and raised in the Seattle, Washington area, Robin McPhillips graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy Annapolis, Maryland. Two decades of aerospace logistics and project management followed, as well as retirement from the Naval Reserve at the rank of Captain. Living in Fairfield, Connecticut, for twenty-four years, she served as a docent for several years with the Fairfield Museum and History Center and completed a Master's Degree in American Studies from Fairfield University. Her master's capstone project captured the lens through which Fairfield, Connecticut, society viewed and treated immigrants at the turn-of-the century (19th to 20th century). During this research Robin came across Jonathan Sturges, his 1840 Cottage and his extraordinary legacy-the hook was set. Almost seven years later she brings the story of Jonathan Sturges-Merchant of Old New York to life. When not writing you'll likely find the author on the golf course or tennis court. Robin is married to Tom McPhillips, a fellow Naval Academy graduate. They have two adult children and live on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
