Jorge Filipe Avelino Teixeira (born 27 August 1986 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese defender currently playing for Switzerland club FC Zürich. Teixeira moved to FC Zurich from Maccabi Haifa for a fee of $1.2m after only one season with the Israeli club which he represented in the UEFA Champions League . On July 20, 2010 Teixeira made his official debut scoring his first goal in Zurich 2:3 loss to FC Basel.
