Autorenporträt
Shelley Rae was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her given name is Shelley Rae Walker and after two divorces and a myriad of disappointments by her early 30s, she dropped the surnames and stuck with Shelley Rae as her legal and pen name. She graduated from Brown College in Mendota Heights, Minnesota with her Associate of Applied Science in Visual Communications with high honors in 2001. She acquired her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design with high honors from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Online Division in 2015. Her travels brought her to a small town in NE Oklahoma where she resides today. Shelley wrote the novel during a trying time with her then teenage son in a fast and furious two and a half months. While life continued the novel sat idle until she decided it was the right time to complete it. Shelley has written, though not published, many poems and prose from an early age. In 2002 she published one poem in "The Best Poems & Poets of 2002" which she shares with the people that have touched her life, both past and present. Her desires to be a writer were not her first choice. Though she loves to write her first love is Art. This includes design and painting, in which she includes Photo Manipulation and Restoration, Photography, and Graphics. Shelley designed the cover of this book and is currently working with another author on the covers of their books.
