Jornalista, Paul Bazakana trabalhou no Congo-Kinshasa, no antigo Zaire (de 1969 a 1988) no diário "Salongo", onde começou como repórter e acabou como secretário editorial; foi o director editorial da revista "Tam Tam", em Bruxelas (Bélgica). Actualmente, edita a revista "Ebène Magazine", em França.
