Geremias Furtado è originario dell'isola di Santiago, Capo Verde. Appassionato di giornalismo e comunicazione sociale, ha conseguito un master in informazione e giornalismo presso l'Università di Minho, in Portogallo. Nel 2012 ha conseguito una laurea in Comunicazione sociale/Giornalismo presso l'Università Federale di Minas Gerais - Brasile.
