Dang Yimin, born in Fuping, Shaanxi Province, China, is a senior colonel in the Armed Police and a Chinese Writers' Association member. With a postgraduate degree in litigation law, he has authored six literary works, including the critically acclaimed novels Tibetan Light, The Girl Wearing a Bullet Necklace, The Stirrings of the Barren Plateau, and Journey along the Galsang Road. His work has earned him several prestigious awards, including the Chinese Writers' Great Red Eagle Literary Award, the Ba Jin Literary Academy Literary Award, and the Fourth Lu Xun Literary Award for outstanding national reportage literature.
