David L. Caprara has served in senior capacities at the national and international levels at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Corporation for National and Community Service and Global Peace Foundation. His international service afforded him cherished opportunities to travel extensively, promoting service and peacebuilding initiatives in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. He previously served as a nonresident fellow with the Brookings Institution and was a co-founding board member of the Building Bridges Coalition. He loves to climb mountains, from the Himalayas in Nepal to the Blue Ridge in his home of Virginia, and he is grateful for the opportunity to pursue the yoga of peace, meditation and service together with Collette, his beloved wife and spiritual partner of over forty years.
