A loving, supportive family means contentment and peace. It's a feeling of security everyone wants to experience. What happens when your life is turned upside-down? Do you retreat into your own world, try to make things better by yourself, or do you rely on God? When her parents and brother die in a car crash, Missy Calhoun has to make major decisions. She finds strength to go forward and discovers blessings from God as she depends on Him to guide her. Her best friend, Becky, comes to support her through the funerals, but a loneliness surrounds her. She doesn't know if her fiancé, Ryan, who is deployed will return or not. All of this makes Missy ponder the old question, "Why?" Why did this happen? How will she deal with the uncertainty of the future ahead of her? She doesn't have time to dwell on the question very long because situations in her life start to change. An intriguing phone call from a mysterious woman, a police investigation, and an exposed secret her parents kept from her.
Autorenporträt
The idea of writing a book came to Cathey Edgington after hearing her friend, Sandy Cleary, talk about writing her own book. Journey Out of Loneliness rose out of a period of time when Cathey personally experienced a deep feeling of loneliness. As God gave her more of the story line, Cathey put pen to paper, the first in her series Faith and Courage. Cathey, a mother of two adult sons, has two daughters-in-love, three granddaughters, and two grandsons. She lives in San Antonio, Texas, where she's involved in the Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church of Universal City. She is a member of the Christian Writers Group of San Antonio and Writers for Him. She has contributed devotions to the Universal City First Baptist Christmas Devotional for the past three years. Cathey loves to read, write, craft, sew, play handbells, and serve her Lord Jesus Christ.
