Author Eric Johnson is a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was twelve when his Great Grandmother passed away; even after nearly forty years, he misses her dearly. He is telling this story, largely unknown in the family, to honor his Great Grandmother. Particularly, to honor her strength and her courage, by recognizing all those things she faced and overcome.
