John Wagner has been scripting for 2000 AD for more years than he cares to remember. His creations include Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Ace Trucking, Al's Baby, Button Man and Mean Machine. Outside of 2000 AD his credits include Star Wars, Lobo, The Punisher and the critically acclaimed A History of Violence. Alan McKenzie worked for Marvel UK, editing Starburst, Cinema and Doctor Who Monthly magazines. He then wrote three non-fiction books, The Harrison Ford Story, Hollywood Tricks of the Trade and How to Draw and Sell Comic Strips before contributing comic scripts to 2000 AD. Dan Abnett is the co-creator of 2000 AD series Atavar, Badlands, Sancho Panzer and Sinister Dexter. He has also written Black Light, Downlode Tales, Durham Red, Flesh, Future Shocks, Judge Dredd, Pulp Sci-Fi, Roadkill, Rogue Trooper, The VCs, Vector 13 and Venus Bluegenes, as well as The Scarlet Apocrypha and Wardog for the Megazine. A prolific creator, Abnett has also written for Marvel, Dark Horse and DC Comics. He is the author of twenty novels for the Black Library, including the bestselling Gaunt's Ghosts series. His most recent work outside the Galaxy's Greatest Comic is DC's Legion and Superman, and Wildstorm's Mr Majestic. Dan Abnett has recently ventured into the world of screenwriting, penning the script for Ultramarines: A Warhammer 40,000 movie. As co-creator of Judge Dredd, Carlos Ezquerra designed the classic original costume as well as visually conceptualising Mega-City One. Peter Doherty is primarily known to fans of the 'Galaxy's Greatest Comic' as artist of the Young Death series, which opened the Judge Dredd Megazine's first volume, but he has also contributed extensively to Judge Dredd, working on the epic Judgment Day as well as many shorter stories. Ron Smith has drawn many 2000 AD stories including some of the epic Judge Dredd tales including The Day The Law Died and The Judge Child. One of 2000 AD's best-loved and most honoured artists, Ian Gibson is responsible for the co-creation of The Ballad of Halo Jones (with Alan Moore), and created Bella Bagley, an unfortunate character in Judge Dredd's world who fell headover- heels in love with 'Old Stoney Face' himself! Mark Harrison is perhaps best known to 2000 AD fans for his striking, computer-aided Durham Red artwork, but he has also illustrated Judge Dredd, Glimmer Rats, Pulp Sci-Fi and Strontium Dogs. He also contributed a story to the Megazine's Durham Red-based The Scarlet Apocrypha series, and -- rare for a 2000 AD artist -- has even written two Pulp Sci-Fi stories! Outside of 2000 AD he has provided covers for Dark Horse's Star Wars series and Topps' Star Wars trading cards. John Burns' painted art has graced several 2000 AD series, notably in lengthy runs on Judge Dredd and Nikolai Dante, as well in as his own co-creation, The Bendatti Vendetta. Outside the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, he has pencilled Eclipse's ESPers and the James Bond miniseries, A Silent Armageddon. Trevor Hairsine's muscular pencils first wowed 2000 AD readers on Strontium Dogs; he has since co-created Harmony and illustrated Downlode Tales, Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, Mercy Heights, Missionary Man, One-Offs and Pulp Sci-Fi. John Higgins is a multi-talented 2000 AD artist and writer; as well as scripting a Future Shock and Judge Dredd, Higgins has illustrated Chopper, Freaks, One-Offs, Tharg the Mighty and Time Twisters. Anthony Williams is the co-creator of both Babe Race 2000 and Kola Kommandos. During his 2000 AD career, he has illustrated Big Dave, Future Shocks, Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, Mean Arena, Mean Machine, Robo-Hunter, Sinister Dexter, Slaine, Tharg the Mighty and The V.C.s. Williams' work beyond 2000 AD includes Batman, Fate, Green Lantern, Superman, The Unfunnies, and Games Workshop's Titan. Cyril Julien has lent his talent to many 2000 AD stories. Apart from his work on Judge Dredd, Julien has illustrated stories for Shimura, Pulp Sci-Fi, and Vector 13.
